Midwest Care Team
The Midwest Care team’s mission is caring for individuals in their time of need.
The team is comprised of veterans of the fire service, and disaster recovery specialists.
The mission is simple, care for, educate, and support our neighbors as they navigate a personal crisis.
We serve this mission, by responding to those in need 24/7, providing immediate care, and providing cost free education to empower those to navigate the recovery journey.
Hope
Unplanned disasters can happen anywhere at any time.
Moments of crisis, whether in the form of a fire, flood, or structural damage, acute stress moments can emotionally devastate our neighbors.
Our teams mission when assisting those in these moments is to provide hope.
Our team will coordinate lodging, help secure high value personal items or documents, and many other activities in an effort to reduce the stress of the event.
Proactive
The Midwest Cares Team arrives prepared to reduce disaster impact. Proactivity guides our approach as we help people facing emotional stress. We act ahead to make recovery manageable by:
Arranging immediate lodging
Collecting emergency textiles for 24-hour cleaning and delivery to temporary housing
Securing high-value personal items and important documents
Honesty
Many restoration companies exploit homeowners during emergencies. They all claim honesty and care — but actions prove it.
We show it through service, not words. Our work authorizations cover one service at a time, not full-service contracts.
Competitors often push broad authorizations during emotional moments; don’t sign any work authorization within the first 24 hours of a disaster.
If a company is right for you, it will still be right after 24 hours.
Caring
Midwest Cares Team’s mission goes beyond restoration: to serve selflessly and care for neighbors. At our “Restoring You First” meeting, we turn service into action. We do not sell or authorize work at this meeting.
Purpose: educate and empower homeowners to control their restoration.
We tell every homeowner, “You’re the boss.”
We are a resource, not the decision maker.
